One of my favorite places in North Carolina is Burnsville. It's located in the mountains, and when I last visited the area, it was quite rural and unspoiled. I painted this old barn years ago, in honor of my late husband, Raymond Nash. It represents the many trips we ventured into the beautiful quietude.
